C&S Ranks 22nd Among Largest Insurance Brokers in Massachusetts
Boston Business Journal recently recognized C&S Insurance on its annual list of largest insurance brokers in Massachusetts. Pretty exciting, right?
Ranking 22nd, C&S Insurance is listed alongside some very good company—including a fair number of firms with 10-20 times our staff size. We’re thrilled to gain this recognition. And it’s already inspiring us to see where we might land next year…
Fun fact: when sorted by percentage of personal lines business (MA car insurance, MA home insurance, MA renter’s insurance, etc.), C&S ranks 3rd among MA agencies whose book is more than half dedicated to individuals and families. We think that’s very exciting.
The Boston Business Journal Lists & Stats
The BBJ has been tracking top Massachusetts insurance agencies for roughly a decade. Current rankings are based on premium-dollar volume for 2018. If you opt to download the full list, results can be sorted by agencies’ total volume or by percent dedicated to specific lines of business (personal, commercial, and life). Top spots go to Hub, Marsh & McLennan, and Eastern. Collectively, the state’s top 25 firms represent more than $228 billion in assets under management, and employ more than 3,200 people in Massachusetts.

Our BBJ debut comes at a great time–just a few months before our 60th anniversary (stay tuned for more on this milestone!).
