Life is Why: Southern New England Heart Walk 2018

Together with partner Keith Signoriello, Ben Cavallo is the principal and co-owner of C&S Insurance.

This past weekend, our agency came together to participate in the Southern New England Heart Walk. Our walk began in Providence, just in front of the State House, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! (Look how chipper we are, even at 8:00AM!)

The American Heart Association hosts the event each year to help fight heart disease and stroke in local communities. For us, this was a particularly important year to walk, because a member of our work family recently lost a parent to heart disease.

Back in January, we asked C&S clients, partners, and friends to help contribute to this cause. We sold dozens of paper hearts and collected donations on behalf of our two teams, The Angel Hearts and The Heart Bees–both walking for loved ones who have been affected. We are proud to say we beat last year’s fundraising total, bringing in $2,800, and earning us a spot among the Top 10 participating companies in the Southern New England Heart Walk. Yay, us!!!

We want to give a special thanks to the following folks, who went above and beyond to help us reach our goal:

Arleen Smith Marketing (Arleen and Rick, your generosity is much appreciated!)

Alarie Plumbing (We owe you guys another set of t-shirts!)

Also, huge kudos to the SNE Heart Walk organizers, who always make the day fun and family-friendly. AHA works tirelessly to promote heart health awareness and strengthen public health policies. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to an organization that touches the lives of so many. Looking forward to next year and more community involvement events!
