There are two universal truths of parenting:

1. Kids love trucks.

2. Parents can always use some help keeping little ones entertained.

For these reasons, we’re very excited to be working with the Mansfield Women of Today (MWOT) on Mansfield’s fifth annual Touch-a-Truck event. MWOT does an incredible job gathering your kids’ favorite vehicles: fire trucks, ambulances, cement mixers, dump trucks, excavators, and more. This year’s event will also include a limousine, a motorcycle, and even a flight simulator.

For kids and grownups who don’t go gaga over gears, event activities also include glitter tattoos, board breaking with martial arts experts, art projects, raffles, and more. And don’t forget to bring your appetite! Rumor has it the food will be wheely, wheely good. (Get it?)

The other reason we’re counting down the days until September 23rd: all event proceeds will go toward important nonprofit organizations—including Mansfield’s fire and police departments. Many people don’t realize what it costs to run these critical operations. Like teachers in our public schools, police officers and firefighters don’t always have the updated equipment they need. Sometimes they pay for supplies out of their own pockets.

So mark your calendars and bring your whole family to Mansfield Airport (265 Fruit Street) for a day of fun, games, and food. We hope to see you there!
