Our Plan to Reopen C&S Offices: Mansfield, Attleboro, Dedham, Bridgewater

By: Keith J. Signoriello

Keith Signoriello is the owner and principal of C&S Insurance, along with co-owner Ben Cavallo.

As an essential business, C&S was never closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we did close our offices to clients, visitors, and other members of the public for a period of several weeks.

Now, as the state begins its phased reopening, we are taking steps to reopen our doors–albeit with new guidelines in place to keep people safe and comply with Massachusetts’ Mandatory Workplace Safety Standards. Here’s a closer look at how you’ll be able to connect with us going forward:

Can I come to the office to pay my bill, update my policy, etc.?

Yes, beginning on June 1st. We are reopening as soon as we feel it is responsible to do so, and in alignment with Massachusetts’ guidelines, because we recognize that many people count on us for face-to-face service and support.

That said, we believe personal safety is more important than convenience. In an effort to protect our other customers, as well as C&S employees, we ask that you please first attempt to work with us via phone or email. Many issues—including bill pay and minor policy changes—can be handled with a phone call, rather than a visit. With your help, we can minimize foot traffic and better succeed with social distancing recommendations.

When will I be able to see my agent?

We will open our doors to the public on June 1st. However, we are implementing a phased approach for our returning employees. This means than most, but not all, C&S employees will be back inside the office by the first of the month. If your dedicated agent is not in the office when you arrive, another agent will be available to help you.

How will C&S ensure visitor safety?

This is our foremost concern. For your safety and ours, we have thoroughly disinfected all C&S offices, and will continue with regular cleanings of frequently touched surfaces.  All visitors will be required to wear face masks inside C&S buildings. Only a limited number of clients will be permitted to wait inside our waiting areas. Clients will not be allowed access beyond the reception area. We will post signage on our front doors to remind everyone of these requirements.

Will C&S’ in-house registry be open for RMV transactions?

Yes. At our Mansfield office, MA RMV services will be available on a limited basis.

We ask that you please call ahead to gauge wait times and confirm availability. Please also note: we are unable to accommodate all types of RMV transactions, but we can process most of your license plate needs, including:

  • New Plate Issuance
  • License Plate Transfers
  • MA Plate Renewals
  • MA Plate Returns

If you are a business insurance client, we may be able to support you beyond these capabilities. For commercial clients–especially those with sizable fleets–we also offer “runner” service to the RMV, which allows us to fulfill a broader menu of transactions.

As a final note, we want to stress that nothing about this plan—neither ours, nor the state’s—is a certainty. Your health and safety are of paramount concern. We won’t hesitate to adjust these timelines and logistics if the need becomes apparent.

Meanwhile, we want to thank you for your business, your referrals, and your kind words of support—which never lagged, despite the difficult times. We are looking forward to serving you from our offices again, and working together toward our new normal.
