Mansfield Touch a Truck 2019

C&S Insurance

Mark your calendars, truck fans: Mansfield Touch a Truck 2019 is slated for Saturday, September 21st! Now in its seventh year, MTAT has grown from an interactive truck exhibit to a full-blown festival–including live entertainment, tattoos, face-painting, super hero appearances, and so much more…

WHO:

Families from all over Massachusetts and Rhode Island are invited. Last year we even saw license plates from Connecticut and New Hampshire in the parking lot! So please tell your friends and fellow parents.

WHAT:

Mansfield Touch a Truck 2019 is a family event featuring dozens of trucks (fire trucks, mail trucks, ambulances, construction and S.W.A.T. vehicles, cement mixers, and more!) that kids can climb and explore. The event will also include a DJ playing kids’ favorite tunes; arts and crafts; possibly a flight simulator exhibit (TBD); as well as a petting zoo!! Lunch from the Fork & Bibb food truck, popcorn, ice cream and other refreshments will be available for sale.

WHERE:

The Mansfield Municipal Airport located at 265 Fruit Street, Mansfield, MA.

WHEN:

Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 9:00AM to 2:00PM. Please note: “Quiet Hour” will be observed from 9:00-10:00 for children with sensitive ears. Here’s a quick breakdown of the day’s schedule:

  • 9:00 -10:00         Quiet Hour
  • 10:00                   National Anthem, sung by Corrin Fernald
  • 10:30 – 12:30      SpiderMan! (available for photos)
  • 10:00 – 1:00        Petting Zoo by Farm Visits (pigs, goats, ducks, & bunnies)
  • 12:30 – 1:30         Dancing and FROZEN Singalong by Corrine

All throughout the day… Karate demonstrations by Personal Best in Foxboro, interactive DJ tunes by DJ Nate Adams, tasty treats from the Fork & Bibb food truck, and dessert from Ruby’s Ice Cream!

WHY:

For seven years running, the Mansfield Women of Today have sponsored and organized this event in order to raise money for local organizations. C&S Insurance joined forces with MWOT in 2017, bringing even more fun exhibits and raffle items (Celtics tickets!!!) for kids and parents to enjoy. In total, our two groups have generated more than $10,000 for the Mansfield Police, Mansfield Fire Department, local emergency management, and for services that support Mansfield’s senior citizens. This year, we are very excited to sponsor the petting zoo and a sand art table where kids can bottle their own colored-sand creations.

HOW:

Since our goal is to give back, we ask that each family donate $15 for admission, though of course we understand not everyone is able to do so. Anything you can contribute is much appreciated!
