Key Considerations with Many Employees Working from Home

  • Check with your business insurance agent and/or cyber liability insurance company to see if/how employees would be covered when working from home (especially with some using personal devices). There may be a gap in your coverage during this alternative working arrangement.
  • Remind all employees of best practices in cyber security, including: maintaining a strong WiFi password at home, being wary of suspicious links or email attachments, avoiding use of public WiFi, using different passwords for different accounts and re-seting them at regular intervals.
  • You may also want to designate specific approved platforms for teleconferencing and information exchange (i.e. Zoom, Google Hangouts, Google Drive, etc.)
