UCANE Board Welcomes C&S Insurance Principal
Last month the Utility Contractors Association of New England (UCANE) recognized our very own Ben Cavallo, owner and principal of C&S Insurance. Ben is a newly elected member of the organization’s 2018 Board of Directors. Cavallo built a career in commercial insurance for contractors and loss control services. He was nominated by fellow UCANE members due to his active involvement on the Government Affairs Council and local industry participation.
Meet the UCANE Board
Cavallo, along with seven other 2018 board members and officers, was sworn in at the association’s installation dinner, held at the Four Points by Sheraton in Norwood. This year’s UCANE board is comprised of the following executives from Massachusetts and Rhode Island: Andrew Daniels of J. Derenzo Co; Nick Gamache of Rain for Rent-New England; Mike Gorman of E. J. Prescott, Inc; Bill Leonard of Aqua Line Utility; Greg Antonelli of GTA Inc; and David Walsh of Pawtucket Hot Mix Asphalt. Richard Pacella Jr. of R. M. Pacella Inc. will serve as UCANE’s Board President.
“We are thrilled to have such a knowledgeable and dedicated executive on our board,” said Anne Klayman, UCANE’s Executive Director. “I’ve collaborated with Ben in the past. Some of our members have also worked with his team to improve their companies’ insurance programs and risk management strategies. He’s a true professional. I know Ben will be a valuable asset to our insurance committee, as well as to the association’s overall agenda.”
UCANE Paves the Way Toward Progress
“It’s an honor to be invited to this post,” echoed Cavallo, a UCANE member since 2010. “UCANE has a long history of advocating on behalf of utility contractors and underground construction projects. They continue to pave the way toward progress and profitability in the sector. I’m excited to lend my insights wherever I can.”
In addition to his UCANE board responsibilities, Cavallo is a long-time board member for both the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents’ (MAIA) and the Sturdy Memorial Foundation.
